Day 0 | International flight.

Day 1 | Casablanca domestic flight / Marrakech
Welcoming meeting at the airport and settling in at Riad. You can plan your own evening.

Day 2 | Marrakech – Oukeimeden (B, L, D)
Early morning departure for the heart of the High Atlas where the road is beautiful and spectacular the whole way
(1H45 travel time ). Meeting with the mule drivers after having breakfast in the Oukeimeden pastures. We load the mules and cross the small pass at tizi N’Oukeimeden (2700m) from where the panoramic view lets you see the crest of Mount Toubkal, proud of its  4167m altitude. A mule path leads us to the village of Gliz. Over night stay at a native’s home. Total of a three (3) hours ride. 

Day 3 | Anemane (B, L, D)
We arrive in the valley of Anemane in the morning. A string of villages is nested in this valley : Imsker, Arg, Amssakrou,Ikis and  Tamguist, last Douar in the valley. Over night stay at a Berber’s house. Altitude of 2200 m.
Total of a six (6) hours ride. 

Day 4 | Tamatert  (B, L, D)
We will cross the Tamatert pass ( 2279 m) and enter the valley of Imlil. A balcony type path will get us to our cabin in the village of Aremd (1950 m). We will begin the visit of the Imlil region in the afternoon where we will discover the water mills and witness how the Berbers make the flour for their bread and couscous. The guide will give explanations while being accompanied by the mill manager. We will then meet with a craftsman specialized in the making of a local small carpets and the peculiar technique needed to make them.  Celebration night with the villagers, dancing and Berber chants.  Overnight stay at a Berber’s home.

Day 5 | Tizi N’Tzikert (B, L, D)
A nice ascent will take us to the top of the Tizi N’Tzikert pass (3000 m). A beautiful view awaits us overlooking the Tazzarart passages. Slow descent to the Tamzoult sheepfolds ( 2250 m). Breakfast in the shadow of the thujas. Come afternoon, a possible stroll to the Irhoulidene cascades at 2400 m (optional). A cozy mule path snakes through the thuja forest and takes us to the village of Tizi Oussem at 1950 m. Overnight stay at a refuge.
5/6 hours walk.

Day 6 | Assif N’Ouazaden (B, L, D)
We will discover the valley of Assif N’Ouazaden, the Berber villages and homes made of dry rocks clinging to mountain slopes. From there, you can see platform type agricultures, source of nourishment to the mountain people of the Toubkal massif. It is probably the most beautiful valley of the massif. We will enter a little pass so we can join our transporter. Breakfast on site with our mule drivers and leave for Marrakech. Traveling time : 90 minutes. Overnight stay at Riad.
4/5 hours walk.

Day 7 | Marrakech (B, L, D)
Full day to discover Marrakech with a local guide from the medina, the old fortified city. Numerous monuments to visit in this pink coloured city, narrow streets and spectacular souks are worth the time. At the end of the day, take a ride in a horse drawn carriage to the ochre high walls of the medina and the old palm grove. Breath in the fresh air away from the hustle and bustle coming from the Djamaa Elfna square, part of the UNESCO world-wide heritage. We will meet at Djamaa Elfna square at dusk for a last mingling with the crowd before heading for dinner at a Moroccan restaurant in an old Marrakech palace. Dinner and departure for Riad. 

Day 8 | Marrakech – Departure (or extension, refer to our trip to Mountain & Sahara) (B)
Breakfast at Riad, transfer to the airport and return flight.
