Day 1 : INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT/ FES
International flight.

Day 2 : FES (D)
Arrival at FES airport. Welcoming committee and transfer to Riad.

Day 3 : FES (B, L, D)
An entire day aimed at discovering the intellectual city of the kingdom. Fès is the most ancient of the imperial cities. Countless monuments to visit : the Médersa Attarine, the souks, the tanners, Fés El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque, and more. Overnight stay at Riad.

Day 4 : FES – MOULAY IDRISS – MIDELT (B, L, D)
We leave Fès and side step to Moulay Idris Zarhoun where we will roam around the roman remains of VOLUBILIS, at the footstep of the holy city of Moulay Idriss. We then go south and bypass the Mid Atlas mountains with its magnificent cedar forests. We get to the city of Midelt located near the Djebl AYACHI. Overnight stay at the hotel and traveled distance of  280 km.

Day 5 : MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA (B, L, D)
We keep heading south and cross the city of Errachidia before arriving at the valley of Ziz. This is a beautiful lush green oasis bordering the Tafilalet palm grove where many ksars are buried in the middle. We then cross the capital of dates, Erfoud, in south Morocco. Stop over at Borj Est where you have a magnificent view of the Jorf palm grove. The El-Bouiya hamlet has a Berber necropolis dating back to the first centuries and is filled with thousands of tombs. From then on, we follow a small road to get to the dunes of Merzouga. Overnight stay at an inn at the footstep of the great dunes, the most beautiful ones in south Morocco. Traveled distance of 270 km.

Days 6 & 7 : CAMEL RIDE AT ERG CHEBBI (B, L, D)
In the morning, a short transfer aboard our 4x4 will take us to our rendez-vous point with our camel herd. The camel loading foresees a nice Mehari (crossing) through the dunes of the Erg chebi. For the next two days, we will live a unique experience accompanied by our camel scouts and guide. Everywhere you look, there are dunes and sand as we let our camels advance to our camp site without missing a stride.

Gaze at sunset perched on the dunes, savour a delicious mint tea prepared the Berber way and let your taste buds discover a typical tagine meal. You will also be carried away by Berber chants while contemplating the glow of the campfire. Two (2) unforgettable nights on this camp site. Basic comfort in set-up tents.

Day 8 : ERG CHEBBI – TINGHIR (B, L, D)
Regretful to leave the dunes of Merzouga, we go to Rissani, birthplace of the actual dynasty. The intereting Ksours are worth the detour. The path crosses some immense and deserted high plateaus with the occasional oasis like the one at Guelmima. Past the city of TINERHIR, we leave the vehicles behind to take an hour long walk through the fields and palm groves in the superb valley of Todra.

About 15 kilometres away from the village of Tinghir, at the end of a valley sprinkled with palm groves and Berber villages, the gorges of Todra are among the most beautiful natural sites of this country. This massive crevice from which runs a crystal clear river divides the High Atlas from the Djebel Sarhro and rises up to 300 m at its narrowest spot. Visit of the gorges by foot. Hotel stay and traveled distance of 200 Km.

Jour 9 : TINGHIR – N’KOB (B, L, D)
Early morning, we will climb the pass of Tizi N’Tazazert at 2300m. It is a tedious and steady climb to the top but the sight is worth the effort as you will have a panoramic view of the Sarhro massif and its surrounding desert. The downhill path will take us to the famous geological site of Bab n’Ali. A leisure walk through the mineralogical world of the Sarhro massif, close to the Bab N’Ali towers. At the end of the trail, the village of N’kob and its tiny palm grove will look like a mirage. We will have covered 100 Km of trails. Supper and overnight stay at the inn.

Day 10: N’KOB – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HABDOU (B, L, D)
The road boards the south slope of djebel Sarhro to the village of Tansikht where we will find the Draa palm grove which stretches for 200 km. We turn north to cross the Sarhro one last time through the Tizi N’tiniffit pass. The ascent to the pass offers an exceptional view on the valley of Draa and the djebel Kissane. The valley is a 200 Km pearl string of oasis. A wink to the desert, Mother Nature knits her colours. Clusters of yellow dates hanging from palm trees, laurel bushes filled with shiny pink flowers, ground, beige and grey coloured mountains nestled into a reddish earth, and far away, just like a mirage, numerous Ksour with colours copied on sand.

We continue toward Ouarzazate and we arrive at Ait Benhadou in the afternoon. It is the most beautiful Ksar in south Morocco. The sand castle looks like it was magically built amongst the almond trees. The Kasbah is listed in the UNESCO world-wide heritage. Overnight stay at the Ait ben Habdou Kasbah. Traveled distance of 170 km.

Day 11 : AIT BEN HABDOU – MARRAKECH (B, L, D)
With regrets, we leave the area to get on the salt pathway leading to the valley of Ounilla. The orientalist painter Majorelle was very fond of that area.  The scenery is breathtaking. In Télouate, we will visit the former home of  the pasha (lord) Glaoui. It is in ruins but still splendid. We arrive in  Marrakech early afternoon and we make a small detour to visit the city wall towers at the medina of Marrakech before reaching Riad. Traveled distance of 180 km including 40 of trails.

Day 12 : MARRAKECH (B, L, D)
Free day to discover at your leisure the back streets of this imperial city, jewel of the Moroccan culture. Its palaces, Saadian tombs, it’s high wall filled with great portals are witnesses to the great role these people played in the history of mankind. Marrakech is also the facet of Arabia which is often described in novels where you find large public markets animated by colourful street vendors, snake charmers, story tellers and jugglers. …Over night stay at Riad.

Jour 13 : MARRAKECH – DÉPART (B)
Transfer from Marrakech to the airport for departure or transfer to the seaside resort of Agadir for 2 nights (EXTENSION). End of our services.
